Dinner Club

This month's Dinner Club was hosted by Lorraine and Leanard, and "curry" was the flavor of the evening. Yummy! If you haven't joined this group and want to give it a try, contact Sydney and check the calendar for the next get-together.

Blast from the Past

Welcome back Newcomers! We hope you have all had a great summer and will be joining us during the coming months as we gear back up. This website hasn't changed for a while, so I thought it might be fun to post some pics from past years' events, courtesy of Lynda Evans. See anyone you recognize?

RR- WALKING THROU HISTORY - A morning walk in ANAPHIOTIKA is one of the most unusual places to visit in the Plaka area. On the north-east slopes of the Acropolis there is a small huddle of white-washed houses, right up against the almost vertical wall of the rock. The houses were built in Cycladic tradition by the master builders from the island of Anaphi, near Santorini, during the building boom in Orthonian period when Athens became the capital city.
RR- WALKING THROU HISTORY - Athens in Neo Classical Times - A large Roman Bath complex was destroyed to make way for this magnificent Neo Classical building called Zappion Hall which stands just south of the National Gardens. It's named after its benefactor Constantinos Zappas, a wealthy Greek from Romania.
